Senior Benefits
We offer seniors age 60 years and older “fine exempt” status for items borrowed from Cuyahoga County Public Library. [Note: there are no exemptions on fines incurred on items borrowed from other libraries]. Senior exemption status is determined using the date of birth that is entered in your Library account. You do not have to register as a senior, however if you are over 60 years old and are still being charged for overdue items borrowed from our collection. Opportunity Card
We at CCPL believe that the best way to build an active and engaged cardholder base is to remove barriers to access and invite cardholders to revisit their library. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to continue to explore the vast resources, programs and services we have available at Cuyahoga County Public Library. If your library account has fees over $10 (but less than $100), you may qualify for an Opportunity Card.

Others who may be able to take advantage of this opportunity are children who lack a parent/guardian signature for a library card application and adults who are homeless or in transition.
