Meet Mary Helen Stefaniak, author of "the Califfs of Baghdad, Georgia. When new teacher, Miss Grace Spivey, arrives and turns the annual  festival into an exotic Baghdad Bazaar, the town is thrown into an uproar. Although her progressive spirit proves threatening to some , Miss Spivey succeeds in pushing the limitations of stereotypes and inspiring change. About the Bay Village Branch

The Bay Village Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library is a 15,000 square foot facility built in 1981. After extensive renovations in 1997, the building now houses over 100,000 items. Features include a meeting room with a capacity of 100 and a smaller conference room, both available to non-profit community groups. An ever-changing Discovery Garden, gift of former employee Mary Louise Herthneck, graces our front entrance.

Since 1961, the Friends of the Bay Village Library has played a significant role in the life of the library. Working hand-in-hand with the Branch Manager and library staff, the group acts as an advocate in the community, sponsors speakers and programs, and enhances the library facility through a variety of purchases.
