Winter Program Guide
STORYTIMES: 
BABY & ME
Thursdays @ 9:30 AM
Six week program of rhymes, songs, music and stories for children aged 0 to 18 months. Registration is not required. The program runs from January 21 to February 25.
MONDAY TODDLER
Mondays @ 10:00 AM
A five week program of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories for 19 – 35 month olds and their caregivers. The program runs from January 25 to February 22.
WEDNESDAY TODDLER
Wednesdays @ 9:30 AM
A six week program of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories for 19 – 35 month olds and their caregivers. Registration is not required. The program runs from January 20 to February 24.
THURSDAY TODDLER
Thursdays @ 11:00 AM
A six week program of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories for 19 – 35 month olds and their caregivers. Registration is not required. The program runs from January 21 to February 25.
TUESDAY PRESCHOOL
Tuesdays @ 1:30 PM
A six week program of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories for 3, 4, and 5 year olds not yet in Kindergarten. Registration is not required. The program runs from January 19th to February 23.
WEDNESDAY PRESCHOOL
Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM
A six week program of rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories for 3, 4, and 5 year olds not yet in Kindergarten. Registration is not required. The program runs from January 20 to February 24.
FAMILY STORYTIME
Tuesdays @ 4:30 PM
A six week program of stories, songs and fingerplays for about twenty minutes and then the children will be able to play with toys for about twenty minutes. This storytime is scheduled at the same time as the Kids Book Club so that brothers and sisters can take advantage of this program. All ages are welcome with an adult caregiver. Registation is not required. The program runs from January 19 to February 23.
KIDS BOOK CLUB
Tuesdays @ 4:30 PM
This six week book club meets from January 19 - February 23. Children entering grades K, 1st, and 2nd will read a preassigned book before library time. Then they will take part in a book discussion, activity and book related snack. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants. A WORLD WAR II POW STORY
Saturday, January 30th @ 2:00 PM
Harry Guinther will tell us about life as a POW. Harry, like many young men of his generation, was on the brink of manhood when the War of the Century broke out. He enlisted, trained as a radio operator, was instructed in air gunnery and promptly packed off for combat missions in Europe. Little did Harry know all that was in store for him -- parachuting from a burning plane, being captured as a prisoner -- we'll let Harry tell you about it. Don't miss his incredible story! JUNIOR BOOK CLUB

Children in grades 3 and 4 will read a preassigned chapter book before library time. Then they will take part in a book discussion, activity and book related snack. VALENTINES 4 FRIENDS
Saturday February 13th from 10:00 AM to Noon
Drop in to make some Valentines for friends and family. We will provide the materials, paper, lace, and of course, plenty of glitter and some ideas on how to use them. You can create your own unique Valentine cards. All ages are welcome.

TEEN ADVISORY TEAM

TUESDAY BOOK CLUB

This discussion is part of a series celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Anisfield-Wolf Prize, a Cleveland-based award for books about racial and cultural diversity.
We will be reading The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. A young Muslim American, Changez is living the American dream, with an education at an Ivy League college, high-paying job, and romance with Erica, a member of the elite New York social circles, until the events of September 11th turn his life upside down and force him to confront his personal allegiances.

LEGO CLUB

Preschoolers with a caregiver and school age children are invited on to join us in building with Legos and Duplos. Once a month on a Saturday we will meet to explore a different constuction theme. ART SERIES
Our art series continues in November with artist Sarah Hayes, Oils. Her work will be on display from January 4th through February 28th during library hours. Please join us for the opening reception with the artist on Thursday, January 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Chagrin Falls Branch Library.
