Join us for an evening discussion filled with lively conversation about books you'll love to talk about. This month's title is House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. This discussion is part of a series celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Anisfield-Wolf Prize, a Cleveland-based award for books about racial and cultural diversity.

Children's Assistant, Lee Ikimis will be leading a special computer program for kids and their parents designed to teach them effective skills needed to find helpful and accurate information for school assignments and research projects. Children must attend with a parent or adult guardian. Registration will begin online, by phone, or in person on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.

Our Homework Center open house will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in our meeting room. Registration for Homework Center will begin at that time. The center will open Wednesday, October 13.
The Friends of the Garfield Heights Branch began in 1961 as a group eager to obtain a new facility for the Library. Since then it has been vital to the support of the library, sponsoring many programs and purchasing equipment and furniture for the facility.
