Sept. 7th - Nov. 20th
Get in the game this fall! Play the Touchdown for Reading online reading game. For grades 4 – 8, but students of all ages are invited to participate. Presented  in partnership with the Cleveland Browns.
Visit cuyahogalibrary.org/touchdownforreading for details.  There will be a celebration event for this program on November 29th  from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM which will include pizza and drink.

About the Independence Branch

Located in the "Heart of Cuyahoga County," the Independence Branch serves the 11,000+ family-oriented residents of Independence, Cuyahoga Heights, Brooklyn Heights, and Valley View. The city of Independence is second only to Cleveland as a center for business in Northeast Ohio.

The library is a 15,000 square foot colonial style building constructed in 1992. It is adjacent to the Independence Civic Center. The facilities include meeting rooms, quiet study area, and a computer/typewriter room. The library houses a book collection of over 50,000 volumes, and more than 12,000 audio-visual items including books-on-tape/CD, video, DVD, CD-ROM, and music cassettes and CDs. In 2000 the Independence Branch checked out more than 352,000 items to customers.
