The Friends of the Parma Heights Library has a rich history. Hedy Werner, Branch Manager from 1976-1998, began to organize a small group of library users during the fall of 1976. The Friends of Parma Heights Library was first chartered in March of 1977. During its first year, enough money was raised to purchase a lighted library sign to be placed on Pearl Road.
