The Strongsville Branch is located on Westwood Drive in the rapidly growing suburb of Strongsville, in the southwest corner of Cuyahoga County. Located near the center of town, the library is within walking distance of a new recreation center, the police and fire stations, city hall and a middle school, making it a central part of the community. In September 2003, a new 35,000 square-foot library building replaced the 13,000 square-foot library on Pearl Road that had been in use since 1971. The new building evokes a sense of openness with its high ceiling, use of daylight and expansive floor plan that allows patrons to feel at ease when browsing. In contrast to this open plan are many intimate seating areas located within the magazine, teen, and children’s activity areas. The children’s activity area is designed to help develop a child’s physical and mental skills through educational toys.Read More about the Strongsville Library

Please note detour to library... With the ongoing construction of the new Strongsville Police Station and City Council Chambers, the city of Strongsville currently has Westwood Drive closed at Pearl Road. You can still access the library via the access road behind Target by the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Or, you can continue down Pearl Road and access the library via Zverina Lane. If you head north down Pearl Road, make a right onto Zverina next to the old library/City of Strongsville Communications building. At the stop sign, make a right turn. The library is next to the playground. If you have any questions about these alternate routes to the library, please give us a call at (440) 238-5530. Westwood Drive will be closed into 2011 due to the city construction site.
