Everyone has a story to tell. Are you looking to explore and learn more about the art of memoir writing, and sharing your own personal stories? Teaching artist, Marsha McGregor, will guide participants in this workshop on the creative art of memoir writing and personal storytelling. The program will help participants discover and write the stories that only they can tell in a supportive and positive environment that encourages even those who have never written before, or the most seasoned life-long writer. It is especially for adults age 55 and over.This workshop series is FREE but registration is required. Interested participants must be able to attend all 8 workshops to register for this event. Marsha has been sharing her expertise and teaching writing for over 10 years to students of all-ages and skill levels. A member of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs and the International Womens Writing Guild, she was recognized as a Peter Taylor Fellow in Literary Nonfiction by the Kenyon Review Writing Workshop.This program is supported by a National Leadership Grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services in collaboration with Lifetime Arts, Inc., the AARP Foundation, American Library Association, Westchester Library System, and The Friends of the Garfield Heights Branch Library.
