Lifelong Learning

Cuyahoga County Public Library offers convenient and engaging programs for people of all ages that inspire curiosity and support individual growth.

GED & Educational Support

The Library offers free classes and practice tests for adults who want to earn their General Educational Development (GED) diploma. Our partners at area ABLE (Adult Basic and Literacy Education) organizations lead classes at a number of our branches. Orientation is required for all classes.

In addition, the Library and our partner, Cleveland State University, are collaborating on a new pilot program called College Prep Academy. This pilot focuses on helping adults who need additional support and guidance in preparing to take the GED and move into an associate or bachelor degree program.

Find GED class schedules, practice tests dates and other opportunities for lifelong learning through events at our branches.
