READ A POEM

SUN DANCE

Maybe the sun knows exactly
how it'll look
to all involved
at all moments
with various plays
light through leaves
mackerel sky sunset

Sun on the moon, making it bright
first star first star I see in daylight
wish I well, wish I delight

This star engine
casts large energy releases
solar flares

Strung honey
in the maw
of field

It boils and roils gently
for such glorious hot enormity

Source injecting lightfood
for complexity

bees in the lattice
of the magic

Fruit and foot
bloom
in the current medium

WRITE A POEM

Listen in on some conversation today: over the phone, in a café, at work. Write it down, doubled spaced and then fill in the blank space with imagined words or thoughts.

Crumbling

I can’t breathe
I hurt all over
I utter words but I cannot speak;
I exist but I am not living.
The pain I feel is unbearable.
When will it end?
When will this storm subside?
How much longer can I possibly take?

My heart is crumbling deep down inside
I want to run but I cannot hide;
I cannot face another day,
Trapped in darkness, I cannot find my way.
I pray for peace, love, and understanding,
But instead this pain is so demanding.
This load I’m carrying is too much to bear
So on bended knee I kneel in prayer.
Lord, please take this pain away
So I can be free and live for today,
For tomorrow is not promised I know to be true,
But this sting keeps me from loving you
To the fullest and to my deepest capacity,
I want to love you with all tenacity.

Lord, please take this pain away
In my own strength, I have nothing left to give
I need You to show me how to live.
Display in me Your peace that surpasses all understanding and
Guard my heart from all the sins that are so demanding.
You have the power to reassemble my broken pieces.
I will wait, for my crumbling heart will be no more.
With Your power, I will be restored
Back to life and be whole once more.

R>A
You made a promise
left undone
You spoke forgiveness
and forgetting
You made a promise
still undone

You do not win
You will not win
My Father will fulfill it!

Vengeance is Mine
says the Lord
I will repay.

A>M
You yell and holler about things you do not know
You have a tantrum about things you have no clue
You berate the things done as undone
Your understanding is unequaled
Your arrogance astounding
Your self-righteousness amazing

you have placed yourself
in judgment
over all
you are not right
you were not right
in ignorance you stand
Let the mighty stand in humility
The weak in awe
The needy in respect

For HE who knows all things
gives all things
loves all beings
Stands ready to accuse you.

M>S
a BIG voice does not a big man make
a vicious attack does not make it true
LOUDNESS is not the turning point

TRUTH WILLS OUT!

H>S
Another loud and angry voice!
What makes them yell my way?
Perhaps it is that I am right and dare defy their thoughts?
Perhaps because I will not give in simply because they shout?
In either case He has my back and will help me stand!
And some fine day they will know … they cannot control my thoughts.
