Nafisi, author of Reading Lolita in Tehran and a Johns Hopkins University professor, speaks about the political implications of literature and culture during times of change and her experiences teaching in Iran.
Azar Nafisi has written forWashington Post, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Her The New Republic cover story, "The Veiled Threat: The Iranian Revolution's Woman Problem" (February 22, 1999) has been reprinted into several languages.
