WHAT'S YOUR (material) TYPE?

If you are a frequent user of our Classic Catalog you have no doubt noticed that something is different. We recently uploaded new material-type icons — those little graphic images that indicate at glance whether something is a music CD, a DVD or a book. Why did we change? These vendor-supplied images will improve visual consistency throughout the catalog interface, but more importantly, they are part of a package of enhancements that will help the online catalog adhere to accessibility standards for the visually impaired. Generally, the icons are color-coded in that blue represents print or text, purple represents audio, and green represents video. Eventually, you will see these same icons in the Encore discovery catalog.
