Scholastic Teachables — free with your library card 

Scholastic Teachables offers free printable activity worksheets, lesson plans, learning games, puzzles and more for pre-K through grade 6.

Learning activity sheets and lesson plans are available for virtually any subject from math and science to language arts and social/emotional skills.  



card.PNGEducator Cards — special borrowing privileges for teachers

Are you an educator? Educators may apply for a special Cuyahoga County Public Library Educator Card at any one of our branches. Educator Card benefits include: 

Borrow up to 150 items.
•Educator cards are exempt from overdue fines for most items.
•Renew items up to 20 times if it hasn't been requested by anyone else.

Our Big Books Plus bookable sets are designed to enhance the storytime experience for young learners ages 2–4 by building essential early language and literacy skills and encouraging social and emotional development.



In-Line-Web-Graphic-Sora.pngSora — eBook & eAudiobook access for students in a single app 

We collaborate with local schools to increase students' access to eBooks and eAudiobooks by combining our digital collections in a single app, Sora. Powered by OverDrive, Sora lets students borrow from their schools' eBook collections as well as from our juvenile and young adult eBook titles. Sora was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions 2019.

Students enrolled in school districts that use Sora can download the app through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and on Chromebooks that support the Google Play Store. It is also available for use in web browsers at on any computer. 

Sora also supports teachers by providing education-specific tools like achievements, exportable notes and reading progress to encourage individualized learning.

Our 1-2-3 Read @ Home instructional content has been designed to give parents the tools they need to help their children connect with reading. Each 1-2-3 Read @ Home unit consists of interactive, instructional videos and at-home learning activities, including:

•Story unit from the Core Knowledge Language Arts® Folk & Fairy Tales curriculum emphasizing reading and listening comprehension. Comprehension is a universal strategy that helps students become successful readers.

•Parent Resources that explain the content learning for each unit, offer comprehension questions to use with their students after reading the story, and tips on how to help their student benefit from the story and its associated activities.
