job seeker

"I was laid off from my job and looking to rebuild my résumé when I heard that the Library offered free career counseling. A Library counselor taught me how to effectively communicate within a job interview and how to build a résumé to catch the interviewer's eye. In less than a month I had another job."

Budding Entrepeneur

"I created our company logo using the free design software at the Innovation Center in the Parma-Snow Branch. The logo is everything. It's that legitimizing of the business. When you have something that has your business name on it, all of a sudden not only do you believe it's real, but now other people believe it, too."

SUPER DAD

"We love the Library's Homework Center program. When our triplets do their homework with the tutors at the Library we get to spend more quality time at home, just playing or talking. We are from Puerto Rico, so we speak Spanish at home most of the time. When the kids come to the Library's Homework Center the tutors can really help them with English.

Aspiring Writer

"It's lonely being a writer at home with your computer and that blinking thing waiting for you to type the first word. When you come to the Writers' Center and do the workshops and network with other writers it really helps. You get good, honest feedback. A lot of the people giving the feedback are published authors themselves."
