April is Autism Awareness Month. National Autism Awareness Month represents an excellent opportunity to promote autism awareness, autism acceptance and to draw attention to the tens of thousands facing an autism diagnosis each year. We offer sensory and adapted programming and resources for all ages.

Adapted Playgroup / Ages 0 – 6 with caregiver(s)
Join us for a new Adapted Playgroup that is safe and welcoming for families who have concerns about their child. Learn new skills, meet other families and connect to community resources to help your child. The Adapted Playgroup will mix free play opportunities with small group activities such as parachute play or bubbles. As participants practice social and communication skills, staff members will be available to answer questions and offer tips. Typical siblings are welcome, but must register separately. Families are encouraged to play together at this program. The Adapted Playgroup will be led by an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist from Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center.

Toy Collection

Cuyahoga County Public Library is committed to developing children’s literacy by engaging parents and children in stimulating and educational play. Each of our branches offers toys for children ages birth to 8 years old that are safe, sturdy and clean. Our collection includes toys for children with special needs.
